I’d like to tell you the required import documentation for toothpaste in Haiti.
Import Documents
Haiti Customs office requires all importers to submit the following documents for customs clearance purposes.
- DPI (declaration prior to import),
- PVC (Product Verification of Conformity) Program, as we know, all imports of products subject to PVC must be accompanied by a CoC (Certificate of Conformity) and by a VR (Valuation Report) issued by SGS,
- Customs declaration,
- Bill of lading,
- Freight cost certificate,
- Packing list,
- Commercial invoice,
- Certificate of origin.
DPI At The Destination Port
Besides, when the toothpaste production is completely finished, you need to apply for DPI at the destination port and forward the DPI to us, and then we contact the local third party SGS to arrange the physical inspection before loading.
Once the inspection is complete, SGS issues
CoC (Certificate of Conformity)
VR (Valuation Report)
And the rest of the procedure will be done in Haiti.
The original documents listed above are required to be sent by courier to the importer prior to the shipping container arriving in Haiti.
P.S.
